I stood in our Moraga, Ca cul de sac and painted our SF East Bay home & garden in one long day. Only the wisteria was there when we moved in &, frustrated w sod and sprinkler systems, we decided to plant the front with drought, deer and fire resistant plants. Poppies, bols mauve, powis castle, scabiosa, alstroemeria, mexican sage were the stars & I stayed in good shape with all the deadheading & weeding. That was just the front; my husband was in charge of the hundred or so roses on the hill in the back...
