Just Weeds

My desk at our Sussex County lakeside cabin sits in a windowed corner directly across from a small island.  This post rewards me with the opportunity to watch the flora and fauna of this little NJ reststop and see how the scraggly weeds grow, blossom and fade.  I've painted this view many times now; each painting is different from the last just as each summer is different.  We've left the lake for good now but I'll keep painting this special view and these weeds again and again,
