Giacondo

This was the first thing I'd see when I'd go to my kitchen to make the morning coffee shortly after COVID began.  The flowers on the table overlooking our view west were in odd contrast to my serious mood.  I had all the time in the world to paint them - or no time - and began fooling with this painting ad infinitum.  The painting had an orchid blooming over the sunflowers.  It had wooden Japanese frog sculptures laughing at us,  It had a random fallen sunflower on the table.  I'm learning that an advantage to painting in acrylic is the ability to change the painting radically at a moment's notice.  After living with the painting for a while post-COVID its seen many changes as it bends to my current mood.  It's becoming happier and less idiosyncratic yet retains a history I still don't understand...
